Dstructive - Donut Powered Time Machine
Dstructive is back again with some material that might make your head explode when you hear it.
DPTM, AKA Donut Powered Time Machine. DPTM is Dstructive’s second mixtape release and it mainly features beats produced by the late, great J Dilla that many of us know and love. I, as a producer, classify J Dilla in the top five hip-hop producers list of all time, so I totally agree with Dstructive’s instrumental selection on this mixtape. I was lucky enough to have a hand in the creation of this compilation and am even featured on the introduction skit as the mad scientist that creates the Donut Powered Time Machine! I’m going Hollywood!

One of J Dilla’s most popular releases is the record called “Donuts”. From what I gather, Dstructive intends to take us back in time by rapping on old school instrumentals created by J Dilla and a few other worthy producers. On the other hand, Dstructive will take you forward in time in the Donut Powered Time Machine by inducing a trance state upon his listeners from his futuristic wordplay. Dstructive’s lyrics will make one analyze, think about, and then re-analyze their current life situation. You may have to replay each song twice to get a better understanding of the realness this man is spitting on these tracks. I seriously wanted to quit my corporate job after hearing his lyrics and reasoning in this mixtape.
Unfortunately, we only get to hear the first half of the mixtape release, but we should expect part two’s release sometime in the near future. If you are a hip-hop head, you will NOT be disappointed if you listen to DPTM. I encourage all music listeners to take a look at what Dstructive has to offer the willing ear holes of the world.
